Word of Life Church in Granite City was founded on a legacy of faith by Pastor Henry Crippen, and today continues under the leadership of his grandson, Pastor Brian Crippen Jr. From the very beginning, our heart has been to love God, love people, and live out the gospel in our everyday lives.
We believe the Bible in its entirety is the inspired Word of God, our guide for faith and life. We also believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit are active and available to the church today, equipping believers to live with power and purpose.
For us, church is more than four walls it’s a family of believers who come together to worship, grow, and encourage one another, and then go out to share Christ’s love with our community. Whether it’s serving those often overlooked or helping people discover God’s unique purpose for their lives, our mission is to make the hope of Jesus known.
